Project Workshops

YULETIDE CAROL CHRISTMAS CARD WORKSHOP




We will make 10 cards for the Christmas card workshop.  In addition to the cards, everyone will make tags - at least 10 of them, and I'm sure there will be more. I'm still working on those!
You will only be making one of the two cards shown below.  That is because the paper is double-sided.  These are the card options based on which side of the paper you select. 
Sorry that I can’t let you make both of them :)



In order to make these cards, you will need to purchase the Yuletide Carol Complements—the stickers that are used on nearly all the cards.  Some stickers will also be used on the tags.
These sell for $4.95 plus shipping and tax.

All other materials for the cards are provided.

The covered canister is an option for this workshop.  If you want to make the canister, you will need to purchase the CTMH kraft canister ($3.95 plus shipping & tax).    

The label on the canister can be made into a Christmas greeting or other sentiment if you wish.

If you want to add the rose on top and the metal and glitter embellishments, you will need to purchase the Yuletide Carol Assortment ($6.95 plus shipping & tax).  You can make it without the assortment or add any embellishments you might have.

Cost is $20 plus the complements you purchase.  If you make the canister, you will have the cost of those items as well.

"FAMILY CLASSICS" BOOK BOX WORKSHOP
This workshop is being offered again by "popular demand."  The box was designed by fellow CTMH Consultant Vicki Wizniuk and she was generous enough to share the details with us.  I held this workshop originally a little over two years ago, but some people weren't around or able to make it.  So - here we go again!

This project makes use of the CTMH My Creations Card Box, which is retiring at the end of July.  If you are interested in this workshop, I will need to have your confirmed reservation by Wednesday July 30 to make sure I can get the box for you.

You will be provided with all of the materials needed to create this memory box, which measures 6 3/8 X 2 1/8 X 4 3/8.  You will provide your own adhesive.


The box opens and has enough room to store standard A2 cards or whatever trinkets you desire.  We will finish the inside of the box as well.

Cost of this workshop is $20.  If you already have the CTMH Card Box, your cost will be $14.35.   Prepayment is requested for this workshop.  If you are unable to attend either of the dates, you can get the kit with instructions to put this together at home.

FLIP FLAP SCRAPBOOK WORKSHOP

This workshop is designed to let you work with CTMH's Flip Flaps - a way to add more photos to your layouts without adding extra pages.

The Merry & Bright layout looks nice as a basic layout, but add the 8X12 Flip Flap, and you nearly double the amount of space you have to showcase your photos.


While the front of the layout has a specific sketch for the photos, the two inside sections are open to any way you want to place your photos.

Modifications to this layout:
  • change the size of the large photo (shown as a 5X7)
  • use two horizontal 4X6 photos instead of three 4X4 photos
  • move the border on the right page down and use photos up to 4X6 (just be sure they are all the same size)
I chose a Thanksgiving theme for the second layout, which uses the Huntington paper pack.  You can choose any theme you want - the Cricut will be available to cut the title to your specifications. 

There are changes you can make to this layout as well.
  • I didn't have a vertical 5X7 photo, so I cropped two photos to 3.5X5 and stacked them on top of each other in the space (you can see that in the photo on the home page of this blog)
  • If you wanted to use a horizontal 5X7 photo, you could rotate the design so your photo would work.  This would mean rotating the other page as well, so those 4X6 photos would now be vertical instead of horizontal
  • If you have some vertical and some horizontal 4X6 pictures for the right side of the layout, you could put the vertical photos on the top left of that page and the horizontal photos on the  bottom right.  This would eliminate the extra space for continuing your title onto the second page.
  • You will be provided with two 4X6 flip flaps for this layout.  If you have additional photos you want to add, you may purchase extra flip flaps and they can easily be added on top of the others.
 It will be fun to work with your photos in class - hope you can make it.

The first part of the Christmas Card Workshop will take place in the morning - starting at 9:30.  All of the materials will be pre-cut and mostly pre-stamped, so assembly should be fast.  We aren't learning any new techniques in this workshop - just making a lot of fun cards.

The inspiration for these cards came from the Sparkle & Shine Dimensional Complements and Paper Pack in the CTMH Holiday Guide.   Many of you have already purchased the Complements.  I am supplying all the rest of the supplies.  If you are interested in participating in the workshop, but don't have the dimensional complements, I do have some extras, and if you are taking the later workshop, we have time to order them.

I used the Make It From Your Heart (MIFYH) pattern books, both Volumes 1 and 2 from CTMH for nine of the cards.  The final one is from an old challenge sketch.  In addition to the Sparkle & Shine papers and complements, you will be using the Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape, both silver and red shimmer tape, ruby chevron ribbon, cranberry baker's twine and a bit of sparkle will be added to several of the cards!  Here's what they all look like!

CUBE CALENDAR

This is a perpetual calendar -
works all year, every year! 
 Using La Belle Vie papers,
 the CTMH tulle ribbon and a little bling, 
you will create this beautiful project.
There are two cubes with all the months, 
and three cubes for the dates - 
a single cube for the "tens" of the date, 
and two cubes with the numbers 0 - 9. 

 All of the cubes are housed in a 
decorated box with small wooden feet.
The box stores the cubes that aren't 
needed for the current date.
The other cubes are stacked on top.
Cost of Workshop

The project requires 5 of the My Creations Blocks (Z1746 p 132).

All workshop participants will receive a 10% discount on this item.

You may add them to your regular order, and the total cost for that portion with shipping, tax and your discount will be $21.38.

In addition, there is a $15 fee for materials and the workshop.

Total cost is $36.38.

If you wish to have me order everything for you, that is fine.



The workshops will start at 9:30.

CHRISTMAS CARD WORKSHOP

This workshop uses the CTMH Pear and Partridge Workshop on the Go Cardmaking Kit (#G1043, $29.95).  The kit includes the paper, envelopes, stamp set, accessories (ribbon and glitter gems) and instructions for making 15 Christmas cards - 
five of each of the three designs shown above.
Come to the workshop and be guided through the 
process of cutting and assembling your cards.
In addition, if you need more than 15 cards for the holidays, I will be designing three more cards that will use the same stamp set and the extra glitter gems - just purchase additional paper and card/envelope sets from me for these added cards. 
No work needed before you come to the workshop - just purchase your kit and come work with others to get your cards done early!

Workshop fee is $5.00
You purchase the kit which gives you 
all the materials you need - just add your adhesive!

Do you need more than 15 cards this year?
Here are three additional designs I have created.  You will be able to make five of each of these cards - so you'll have 15 more!
You will have some gems left from the original kit, 
and I will add bitty sparkles, red ribbon, card bases, envelopes, 
cardstock and background paper to complete these - 
with cutting guide and detailed instructions.
All for just $15.

ADVENT CALENDAR
Monday, October 22, 9:30 a.m.
This workshop will use the CTMH Advent Calendar Workshop on the Go Kit (#G1044, $44.95).  Included in the kit is everything to make this festive holiday countdown!  The sturdy cubby measures 14 X 14.  All of the papers for the cubby boxes, stamps for the dates and images, as well as chipboard frames and bitty sparkles to add glitz to your project are included.  
Instructions are included in the kit, but come to the workshop and work together with others to assemble the project.  
Workshop fee is $5.00
You purchase the kit which gives you 
all the materials you need - just add your adhesive!
The boxes for this project are cut on the Cricut with the new CTMH Artiste cartridge.  If you don't own a Cricut or this cartridge, you can pay a small fee for me to cut the boxes for you, and they will be ready at the workshop. 

 BONUS - See what you can do with the cubby after the holidays!  Store the Advent Calendar boxes and make a new set of boxes that will keep your small craft items at your fingertips and provide space to display some of your special treasures!

PHOTO COLLAGE CUBES

This fun project starts with the CTMH My Creations Collage Cubes (#Z1737, $14.95).  You add your photos - a variety of configurations can be used.  You can mix lots of photos like I did on the side shown above or take an 8 X 10 photo and use the entire side for it, like my 25th anniversary picture below.

 Of course, most of our photos are 4 X 6, and those work well, like this shadow photo - giving room for adding some embellishments.


You purchase the collage cubes for $14.95 and provide your photos and whatever papers you want to coordinate with them.  
Get together to work out how the collage cubes go together.  
Workshop fee is $5.00
